About me

I live in Whittier, I’m a child of South Asian immigrants, and I’m proud to be in a union household (my partner is a Minneapolis Public Schools teacher and MFT 59 member). I have degrees in literature and business, and as an adult have lived and worked in Brazil and India.

I speak Spanish and Portuguese, some Marathi, and am learning Somali. I work as a digital product manager and operations consultant.

Coming from a diverse background gives me a variety of perspectives and an ability and desire to connect with people from all over.

I love gardening and being in nature. I’ve helped to set up and maintain gardens in Whittier and I’ve advocated for the kids, immigrants, teachers, and families who rely on Soo Line Community Garden for healthy local food, access to nature, and vital greenspace blocks from the local elementary school.

I serve on the Whittier Alliance board, volunteer with the East Phillips Neighborhood Institute, and am active with the Twin Cities urban agriculture community.

I look forward to meeting you and hearing what you want to see in our parks!
